I stumbled upon a pretty decent invoicing service. It’s called Curdbee. It allows you to customize what your invoices look like, track them with Paypal, and have all of your contacts easily accessible. What’s the catch? Well the only downfall that I have seen so far is that it puts a small advertisement for Curdbee in the invoice.

Only thing I do not understand is where they are going to make their money from. There’s no ads on their site, and it doesn’t seem to be selling actual ads in the invoices. If anyone can shed some light, that would be great. Otherwise, for small businesses, or indivduals that need a clean and easy way to track online billing, give it a go.

Wanting to take one of the many certificates that Microsoft offers? Want to do it and get a second chance to take it for free if you don’t pass it? Now is the time to quickly get that done.

Microsoft’s Second Chance will allow you to do so. But just make sure you register before you purchase the exam. They will give you a voucher number that will allow you to “cash in” your free second chance. Here is what Microsoft has to say:

In the real world, you might need more than one chance at certification. With Second Shot, if you do not pass a Microsoft Certification exam on your first try, we’ll let you retake the exam for free.

As an additional incentive to work toward a Microsoft Certification, from October 15, 2008, to December 31, 2008, if you pass a Microsoft Certification exam on your first try, you get a 25 percent discount on a different exam.

Follow these three easy steps:

1.

Register for the Second Shot offer, and take the Microsoft Certification exam by December 31, 2008.

2.

If you do not pass the exam, you get a free offer of a retake exam until June 30, 2009.

3.

If you do pass your first exam, you get a 25 percent discount on a different exam. You have until February 28, 2009 to take the discounted exam. (Note that you do not receive a free retake offer on this discounted exam if you do not pass it on the first try.)

*WARNING*
Make sure you register BEFORE you purchase the exam, or else this offer will not be valid.
*WARNING*

Hopefully you will not need it, but it’s good insurance, and a good way to get a free “practice test”.

Many people know about Ebay and want to make big bucks by buying those, “How to Make Money in Ebay” books. One of the drawbacks of Ebay is that it’s known by everyone. Therein lies the problem that if someone finds a “deal” so will someone else. And after the bidding wars finish, you are normally left with prices that are the same as buying it off of reseller site such as Bestbuy once you add in shipping.

Another notable problem is the ability to rip someone off with wording and shipping costs. Many people may only charge a small amount for the item, but list the shipping for an outrageous amount, actually costing more than if you bought it local or through a retail store online. Wording can also get people into trouble. Some people will sell information to a good deal on <insert item here> and some people think they are selling the actual item. With these problems, that’s why I suggest Craigslist.org

Craigslist.org is free to use, buyer or seller. It was offered a buyout, but Craig (the owner) who has a very small office in California (San Fransisco, I believe), did not budge because he believes in it staying free. Another benefit is that everything and anything is listed on Craigslist, such as dating, and services. There are local versions of each site for your nearest large city, so give it a try.

One thing I must note is that Ebay does have quick payment and has checks in place to fight against fraud listings and buyers/sellers.

Lastly, I must just ask that you give craigslist.org a try and see how you like it. And if you do, feel free to give it a little donation for staying free for everyone and remaining what the internet should be about.

People want free stuff. I do, my friends do, and I’m sure you do. One site that aims to do this is FreePay.com. Don’t be too skeptical because I myself actually took advantage of their offers and won not only an iPod Shuffle, an iPod 30GB Photo, but a Nikon Digital Camera, and an Xbox.

FreePay offers plenty of tech gadgets, from iPods, to Desktops and Laptops, and even Xbox 360’s and PS3s. Whatever site you choose to actually try for, make sure you look up what it requires and what are the best offers to complete. What do I mean?

Say you are wanting to get an iPod and it requires you to sign up, complete an offer, and have 8 people complete offers of their own. What this means is that you need to sign up, participate in one of their sponsored products or services, and then get 8 of your friends to sign up under you (using your referal link) and also complete an offer. Now you don’t get credit if your friend gets someone to sign up under them, so make sure you get to people first, because once they sign up and complete an offer for a site, they aren’t allowed to do it again for that particular site.

Here is where you can take advantage of the internet. Make sure you go to Free Ipod Guide Forums and read through what people are saying about each site and their offers. People give you hints on which ones are free, or the cheapest, and the easiest to cancel. You can also trade sites with people (WARNING: Read the rules first so you don’t get scammed by someone and complete an offer for them but get nothing in return) if you can’t get friends and family to sign up, or simply pay them to do so (might cost you $5 per referral, but if you had to get 8 for an iPod that is $300, well then your iPod only costs you $40, see how you win). Anyhow make sure to go to the forums and read. This short amount of reading could save you the hassle of choosing the wrong product or service to try. Good luck!

Write the list of free items, explain the freeipodforum site. Also explain how it works and how you got the items the first time.

Many times we go to a website and go to order something to see that promotion code or coupon code box staring us in the face. Telling us there’s someway we could be saving money on this purchase. Well there are a few sites that have good deals, coupons, FREE stuff, as well as Cash Back for your purchases. Here are some of the sites and their benefits:

FatWallet: This site has a lot of different things. First off, make sure you register. This gives you the ability to narrow your searches down better, as well as registers you for Cash Back purchases. Make sure to read through the help to answer all your questions, so there won’t be an issue with your purchases and receiving cash back (but it’s pretty straight forward). Second, under the forums link, there is a link to hot deals. You can search these threads for things, sites, you are wanting a deal from. The posts there are linked on how good or “hot” the deal is for the commentor. Two threads I would suggest searching for is the Official Office Depot thread and the Official Staples thread. Both of these threads having a feature where they are updated each day, and you can get great deals (I bought several $100 leather chairs for $7.50, as well as a desk for $6.00, all brand new). They also have a portion of the site dedicated to free stuff. I have signed up for a few things and received the items in the specified time (note: you may get signed up for junk mail, etc. if you sign up for these, so use a junk email to help yourself out).

Deals2Buy: This site is another good site with links for all sorts of things you can get on the web. It has the items linked so you can see what exactly you are wanting and similar items to that. It has coupons, as well as $0 deals, and a wide variety of Dell deals (I think Dell’s higher end computer lines are very good, and warranty service is a must). So browse around and see if anything peeks your interest.

SlickDeals: This site is updated everyday (as are the others) but is much easier to navigate. It has a basic design and not as much stuff to sift through (although not as many deals either). Give this a try, and you’ll find some deal that makes it worthwhile.

Woot: This site is more of a random bargain site. Many people watch woot constantly and stay up until midnight (server time, which is 12ET) because if there is a hot product, it can be sold out in minutes (and I mean literally like 5 minutes). People will go nuts for a B.O.C. (bag of crap) in which they get a goodie bag full if random stuff that can sometimes contain a big screen TV. A good idea is to setup your credit card on speed entry if you are constantly getting to their deals too late at midnight. People also will be posting about the product with information about the sales and have websites with timers of their own, monitoring the speed and other statistics of the “Woot Off.”

If anyone has another other sites to add, let me know, or again, if you have any questions, contact me at the top of the page!

Good luck hunting!
